Overview
VPAT, or Voluntary Product Accessibility Template, is a document prepared by a product developer or vendor. It describes how well the product conforms to the accessibility standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Compliance with OpenWater VPAT Theme

OpenWater provides a complimentary VPAT compliant theme. This theme is a variation of our default theme which includes high contrast, scaled font sizes, aria labels. This theme is compliant to an A, AA level and has been reviewed by PowerMapper Sort Site. The scope of compliance are: website, submissions, judging, collaborators. The admin site is out of scope.

Please request installation by asking your OpenWater support agent to "Install the WCAG Compliant Theme". Once the theme is installed you can switch to it from OpenWater. OpenWater supports multiple microsites with different themes.

Compliance with Accessibe

Accessibe is a third party widget that can be added to a stylized theme. This widget will scan your site daily and automatically add aria labels, alt tags, and other screen reader friendly components.
